These spherical bearings are medium duty self-aligning sliding bearings that are manufactured using first by heat treating high carbon chromium bearing steel (SUJ2), which are then grinded, phosphate coated and assembled.

SB bearings are wider and thicker compared to GE, therefore it is better suited for enduring heavier loads.

Generally, lubrication oil should be supplied regularly. Lithium-based grease containing molybdenum is recommended.
